The region where Lisboa is located is on the west side of the Iberian Penninsula, and is an area that has been occupied since pre-iberian times, since the Neolithic era. As an example they are both countries that suffered during the 20th century a military dictatorship, and both countries, Portugal in 74 and Spain in 75 overthrew the dictatorship and installed the deomocracy , a republican one in Portugal and a monarch one in Spain.
