Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and the most important city in the country. It is located on the shores of the Tajo River on the western side of the Iberian Penninsula. The population of the city is of over 600,000 inhabitants and measures around 84 m2. If you include the metropolitan area the population is over 2 million inhabitants and the surface area grows to 2800 kms2.

Lisbon or Lisboa in Portuguese is the most western capital of the Continental Europe. I tis the point where the Tajo River reaches the Atlantic Ocean. This city is has a very interesting historic center, inmense and incredible and without a doubt one of the prettiest in Europe and is famous for it's 7 hills. To move around by car is easy, although through some of the streets you'll need to hop on the cable car to get around. The Monsansto Park occupies 10kms2 as is one of the largest urban parks in Europe.

Lisbon is culture, movies, shows, fado (traiditional portuguese music), theatre, monuments and much more. For this reason this city is considered World Heritage by UNESCO. Even though it was hit hard by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake it knew how to get itself back up and offer a wide range of cultural activities. In 1998 it was names Europe's Capital.
